Job Description

This position will lead the process for the production operators as part of the overall department teamwork initiative. This position will report to the Production Supervisor (or designate).

Job Skills and Knowledge:

  • Support/enforce all Nova policies and procedures pertaining to safety, quality, and production.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and supports overtime as needed.
  • Able to keep their area running, good at problem solving and can troubleshoot their machines.
  • Displays good communication skills and can work with other departments within the facility to reach common goals.
  • Understanding of Stratix/Invex.
  • Audit quality checks, Tag logs, and complete required LPA’s.
  • Able to stay focused while multitasking and delegate projects/work with individuals to meet departmental goals.
  • Trains new individuals in safety, quality, and production aspects of their area.
  • Escalates any safety, quality, production concerns to immediate supervisor.
  • Escalates production downtime to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that hour x hour boards are being filled out properly.
  • Ensures 5’s is being maintained in their area.
  • Complete proficiency checklist for individuals in their area.
  • Evaluates scrap and arranges to get rework through the correct process.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diplomas or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills are required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is plus.
  • Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team orientated environment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
