Founded in 1979, Nova Steel is an independent enterprise and industry leader with several lines of business across the North American steel sector. Including automotive slick coil, pickling and slick coil for stamping, automotive tube and tubular parts, standard pipe, structural tubing, and more. All told, we possess more than 40 years of steel processing, manufacturing, and distribution expertise. With over 8 locations in North America and 2 new constructions underway in Mexico and Bowling Green, Kentucky.

After working in the industry for several years, Bryan Jones founded Nova Steel in Montreal in 1979 and established a work ethic that would see the company grow quickly and evolve with the times.

Bryan’s son Scott Jones joined the company in 1991 and now serves as President and CEO.

Over the next 25 years, Nova Steel Group continued to expand and evolve its network and core competencies. In 2021, several new facilities will join the company’s portfolio in Canada, US and Mexico.

Our green vision

We care about our home, and are proudly procuring North American Steel, reducing the use of fossil fuels wherever we can. Our locations have all taken on the challenge to reduce our carbon footprint per ton produced, and have invested in LED lighting and Automatic Ventilation Control Systems, reducing our use of electricity and energy.
